Cinder

Cinder was a marvelous story. Imaginative and vivid. I was truly inspired by Marissa's writing techniques! The plot was slightly unstructured but I could hardly write something so delightful. The story was like a retell of Cinderella, but with a crazy twist! I would recommend Cinder to those who wish they were fearless, and all who enjoy a good story. Sadly the next book in this series does not come out until 2013... I guess I'll just have to wait. keep on reading!

I was happy to see Cinder on the shelf at my local library. I had heard about it before and thought it sounded like something I would enjoy. So, when I saw it at the library, I was pretty excited about reading. I was not let down. As you can tell from the previous paragraph. I am always happy to find one of those, rare, special books I know I will remember for a long time.

Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless Lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. . . .
Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.
