The Girl of Fire and Thorns

I wold have to agree with Tamora Pierce on this one. The book was simply, as she put it, engrossing! It was easy to read and the characters were very easy to relate with. Elisa, for example, played the main character. She was sensible and kind. Through the whole book she was willing to do what needed to be done. Even when her heart was on the line.

Some places were slightly confusing but in this case it added to the story-line.
I loved the setting, castles and deserts, princes and rebels.
Who can argue with stuff like that?

Often while reading the book (which was not a very long period of time) I would notice how realistic some of the characters were. Like Elisa's kingly husband who does not love her and fails to make important decisions. Also until recently I did not appreciate how much work it is to write a compelling and successful fight scene. It was light to read and I would definetly recommend this. Though I am reluctant to stop talking about the book, people have other things to do. So, if you like what you just read, Rae Carson writes it a lot better! I can not wait for the sequel to this book to come out! I also can not wait to get my snooty hands on a copy! No I am not calling myself names. It is a figure of speech. Now back to our original subject. Thank you so much rae carson!
