I read the Hunger Games, about 3 months before they started advertising for the movie. A couple of my close friends had been bothering me about it. Sadly to say, I was pretty judgmental and thought the book sounded boring. But after finally reading that amazing book it became one of my favorites! Yesterday, Saturday March-24, My Dad, Sister, Uncle, Cousin and I, all went to see the movie. It was way better than the Lightning Thief movie, but there were some things they could have done differently. Firstly the movie didn't really make you cry when it should have. And also I just did not get that excited and worried feeling like when I finished the book. Who knows why? I liked the actors and actresses, they did a good job there. I have been seeing a lot of stuff saying "why the movie is better than the books." So I have to wonder, what book were they reading?
It was one of the best, book based, movies I'v seen in a while. Jennifer Lawrence, who played Katniss, was very good for the part, the only thing wrong was that she was a little too old. i have heard a lot of people say that but I just needed to let yo know I felt the same way. Other than that she was great for the part! Now Caesar Flickerman, Stanley Tucci did an amazing job! Just like in the books. Actually I think he was even better! Josh Hutcherson did a wonderful job playing Peeta! I did not really like Liam Hemsworth as Gale but when you get so many great characters how can I complain?
I would watch it again so that must count for something, right? Thank's!
It was a really good movie, just not better than the books.
