Young Knights Of The Round Table, Julia Golding

Young Nights OF The Round Table
#1 In The Young Knights Series
Julia Golding

You know, I promised myself I wouldn't be surprised when Mrs. Golding came out with a brilliant new book. I just don't know how she does it! I have not read all her books, some of them are not published here in the US, but everyone I have read has been lovable. Lately the YA fiction world has been filled with paranormal romances. As much as I love a good PR, I have to say (with no disrespect) that I get sick of them rather easily. Almost every time I read Julia's books I readjust to her creative style. She doesn't make all her characters immediately fall in love. In her stories there are more important things, and that is what I love most. It is also a plus that Julia Golding is a great writer, I learn allot from her plots and characters. I would totally recommend The Young Knights to all my friends!

The Young Knights Of The Round Table, is full of fantasy. One of my favorite genres actually. Julia Golding described Avalon (The Fairyland) fantastically. Rick, Tiago, Roxy and Linette were breathtaking main characters. The admirable friendships they developed and the way they fought for each other was commendable! The friends were an epic mix! There was no hero lacking flaws. The book was hilarious but realistic at the same time. The fight between the Nixen and the Wild Ride could have been exaggerated. I wont give anything away, but I felt the battle went to quickly. I do love action though... Never-the-less, I loved The Young Knights! The plot was laudable! It was strong and fast paced.

No book is better than the one that makes you think!

Rick is a changeling who has been trained as a warrior all his life, it is practically all he knows. When Oberon's kingdom is threatened by humans Rick and two fellow changelings are sent to root out the problem and fix it. Suposedly it is someone trying to reform the Knights of the Round Table. After arriving, Rick, Roxy and Tiago soon realize that humans are not what they were told. They even begin making friends! Still, they continue their quest to find the round table and destroy it.

Linette has moved so much. Friends are hard to make and at her new school she feels rather alone. When three new kids arrive at the school and act like weirdos, it is Linette's first impression to stay away. Despite her efforts to ignore them, the new kids begin hanging around her. When they eventually become friends, Linette is dragged into a world she could never have imagined!
